Is Hell Hacking Into Your Money Matters? (3)

Many people say, “If I had a lot of money, then I would be generous.” Who are they kidding? Prosperity has little to do with Generosity. The average personal income in the state of Mississippi is the 2nd lowest in the United States, yet that state is ranked 6th in charitable giving. By contrast, New Hampshire is ranked 6th in average personal income, but guess where they rank in charitable giving? 45th!
A big income doesn’t mean you have a big heart. People in the United States live in the most prosperous country in the world, yet only 2.5 percent of their income goes to charity; that’s lower than it was during the Great Depression. If you desire to become a more generous person, don’t wait for your income to change, change your heart.
What makes some hesitate when it comes to giving to God? Is it fear? “What if I go broke?” Is it greed? Is it warped thinking on where my money came from? Is it bad teaching? Is it bad upbringing? Is it sticky hands? Is it having a 3-year-old child syndrome saying, “It’s mine?” Is that really the issue? Proverbs 3:9 states “Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase. 10. So shall thy barns be filled with plenty and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.”
Have you learned to place the first part of your income with God? Malachi 3:8 states, “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse.” When you learn to set aside the first part on God’s table, you will receive blessings and His heavens will open up for there to be plenty on your table. God isn’t after your money; He’s after your heart. Matthew 6:21 states, “Where your treasure is there will your heart be also.” Have you ever wondered why God accepted Abel’s offering but He didn’t accept Cain’s? In Genesis 4:3 it states, “In the process of time, Cain brought the fruit of the ground and offering unto the Lord.” In other words when he got ready, he brought it to the Lord. God was far from being first in his life.
God told Joshua , “When you enter into the Promise Land; I want the first city Jericho. All the silver and gold are to go into the treasury of God. Somebody took and hid the gold. Israel lost in the next battle until they made matters right with God. All the other 9 cities were for them. The other 9 cities treasures placed plenty on their table.  God told Abraham to take Isaac and sacrifice his first son, not when you get 10 sons. “I want the first son.” God intervened and provided a lamb. Friend, He will provide for you too, as you place Him First. Start today and you will never regret putting His part on His table. And yes, you’ll have enough.

Is Hell Hacking Into Your Money Matters? (2)

HACKERS STEAL UP TO 1 BILLION DOLLARS EACH YEAR HERE IN AMERICA.
ALL THROUGH THIS NATION  PEOPLE LIVE IN COMFORTABLE HOMES, DRIVE NICE AUTOMOBILES, EAT IN FINE RESTAURANTS... BUT NOT EVERYBODY IS IN AS GOOD OF SHAPE AS IT APPEARS. EVERY WEEK MANY FOLKS ARE CRUNCHING THE NUMBERS JUST TO KEEP THEIR HEAD ABOVE WATER. BUT THE NUMBERS ARE CRUNCHING THEM.

WE LIVE IN THE RICHEST NATION IN THE WORLD. YET WHY ARE SO MANY LIVING DEPRESSED, DESPONDENT, DEFEATED AND DISTRACTED AND NOT  SUCCEEDING IN THEIR MONEY MATTERS?

HOW DOES SATAN HACK INTO SOMEONE’S THINKING? HE  LEADS PEOPLE INTO THINKING…

“MONEY IS WHAT BRINGS YOU HAPPINESS.”

ASK BERNIE MADOFF IF HE IS HAPPIER TODAY SITTING IN A PRISON cell BECAUSE OF THE MILLIONS THAT HE RIPPED OFF FROM OTHER INVESTORS. IT’S A LIE.  OTHERS SAY,
"PREACHER, WHEN I RETIRE,,,, THEN I WILL BE HAPPY"
"WHEN I GET
  •       MY NEW HOME
  •       MY PROMOTION
  •      MARRIED
  •       HAVE OUR FIRST BABY
  •       OUT OF THIS MARRIAGE
  •       MY DEGREE
  •       MY BREAK IN LIFE
  •      MOVE OUT WEST"

THAT’S NOT WHAT BRINGs YOU HAPPINESS. ASK SOLOMON;
HE TRIED MANY DIFFERENT APPROACHES TO HAPPINESS   ECCL 2:1-15
  •       EXOTIC PLEASURE
  •     LAUGHTER. (he BROUGHT IN THE COMICS OF HIS DAY(THINK:JON STEWART, JERRY SEINFELD,BILL COSBY...)
  •       ALCOHOL(WINE,JACK DANIELS,BUD LIGHT...)
  •      Building A NEW HOUSE( IT TOOK HIM 13 YEARS BUILDING HIS  NEW HOME!)
  •     GARDENS, VINEYARDS, SWIMMING POOLS
  •      SERVANTS
  •      CATTLE
  •    SILVER AND GOLD
  •   SINGERS WITH A BAND

JOHN D. ROCKEFELLER SAID; “I KNEW A MAN THAT HAD NOTHING BUT MONEY.”
SOLOMON SAID ABOUT ALL HIS APPROACHES TO HAPPINESS..."IT'S ALL VANITY"(EMPTINESS)"
NONE OF THESE THINGS BROUGHT HIM THE "GOLD" OF HAPPINESS .YOU SAY, “WELL, MAYBE IF I WIN THE LOTTERY,I'LL BE HAPPY THEN".

In June of 1997, a man named Billie Bob Harrell Jr. took the $31 million Texas Lottery jackpot. At first, all was great: "Harrell purchased a ranch. He bought half-dozen homes for himself and other family members. He, his wife and all the kids got new automobiles. He made large contributions to his church. If members of the congregation needed help, Billie Bob was there with cash," "Then suddenly Harrell discovered that his life was unraveling almost as quickly as it had come together.... everyone, it seemed -- family, friends, fellow worshipers and strangers -- were putting the touch on him. His spending and his lending spiraled out of control. In February those tensions splintered his already strained marriage." And tragically, 20 months after winning the lottery, Harrell committed suicide.

DON’T ALLOW SATAN TO HACK INTO YOUR THINKING TODAY. JESUS SAID, “SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HE SHALL ADD THESE OTHER THINGS.”  (MATT 6:33)

Is Hell Hacking Into Your Money Matters (1)

Google is challenging hackers to find holes in its Chrome browser with a sweetener. They’re offering 1 million in prizes to people who can find bugs or vulnerabilities in Chrome. Hackers steal up to 1 Billion dollars each year.

Satan is also hacking into people’s possessions without using malicious malware or the use of software worms to steal passwords in order to get into their bank accounts. So what is Satan’s scheme? He warps people’s thinking and bends and bangs up their attitude to rob blessings from God’s own creation.

Does God really have much to say about money matters? There are more Scriptures on stewardship and money than any other subject in the Bible. There are 500 on prayer. There are 500 on faith. 16 out of 38 parables are on giving. 1 out of 10 verses in the Gospels is on stewardship. 2000 verses on money and possessions.

So how does Satan hack into someone’s thinking? Satan leads people into thinking:

·      ALL YOU NEED IS A LITTLE BIT MORe
It sounds like a similar weapon Satan used against Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. All through America, people live in comfortable homes, drive nice automobiles’ and eat in fine restaurants. Yet they live defeated, depressed and despondent lives. Not everybody is in as good of shape as it appears.

The average American household is 15,600.00 in credit card debt. The average American is 7600.00 in credit card debt. If you pay the minimum amount, it will take you 30 years to pay off your balance. You will have paid an extra 29,000 above your balance. Hold on to your pacemaker… After you’ve worked 30, 40, 50 years, 80% of Americans will end up with 200.00 in the bank. Why?  Hell is hacking into men’s thinking, and their thoughts about money matters.

Do you remember the commercial, “I bet you can’t eat just one?” Yep, Lay’s Potato chips made that bold claim. Well it’s a lie that Hell has put out there for you to believe. “I’ve got to have just a little bit more.” God has a better way. Next time we’ll look a bit deeper into His Word on Money Matters.

"New Beginnings Even In The Desert Places"

My dad gave me a 2002 silver dollar for Christmas. If I were to take the coin at face value, what is it worth? Most of us have not considered what our experiences in life is worth.  Have you ever questioned your dry wilderness season of life? In Genesis 21, there is a scene of Sarah weaning her son Isaac at the age of 92. Hagar makes fun of her and makes Sarah angry. She quickly tells Abraham to send Hagar away from their home. Abraham in disappointment sends Ishmael and her away with water and bread. God promises that He will take care of them and make of Ishmael a great nation.

As they journey in the desert of Beersheba, somehow they lose track to the next well some twelve miles away in Gerar. In the wilderness, Hagar begins to cry, she places Ishmael under some shade, as she and her son are in a desperate place. God hears the crying of Ishmael and comes to their aide. It’s there in the desert that God provides a well of water.
Regardless of your desert experience in life, God will never leave you nor forsake you. Many of us have been tempted to believe that our desert walk is unnecessary, it’s needless; it’s pointless, or useless. It’s always in the desert that God is preparing us for our future.
It was in the desert, right after Jesus baptism that he was led up into the wilderness to be tempted. It’s there that our motives get purified, our backbone solidifies, and the calling is clarified. Have you said, “God you’re not moving fast enough in my painful experience, you need to get on your game, you haven’t done what you said you would do?” I encourage you today to take value in the dry places. If you really want depth to your smile, your song, to your perspective in life, get ready for some rocky places in life.
Don’t die in your desert place, God isn’t finished, God knows right where you are, God provided a well of water in Hagar’s desert and she and Ishmael lived. God hasn’t brought you this far to leave you now. If you’ve lost sight of your vision, your dream, the promises of God for your life, don’t lose hope, water is near. He will sustain you until you see all the promises of God come to pass.
Declare today, even in my desert experiences, I’m going to smile, I’m going to sing, I’m going to shine, I’m going to see the good the gold and the glory out of these experiences. I have a bright future with the plans of the Lord on my life. By the way my silver dollar is worth more than one dollar. The market says it's worth 62.00 dollars. Have you stopped to consider your desert experience is worth far more than what you may have valued it? God makes no mistakes, and declares , "Better is the end of a thing than the beginning." Eccl 7:8

Haven't Seen It All Yet !!

Genesis 28:13 At the top of the stairway stood the Lord, and he said, “I am the Lord, the God of your grandfather Abraham, and the God of your father, Isaac.

Jacob had fooled his father Isaac, orchestrated by his mother Rebecca for the blessing that was due to Esau her firstborn. Esau warns his brother Jacob, "When our father dies, I will settle the score with you and kill you." Rebecca tells Jacob to flee to her brother's house Laban. Jacob had not only grabbed his brothers heel at birth, his inheritance, but now his brother's blessings from Isaac. Now he grabs his shoes and runs for his life.

On his journey to Laban, God speaks to Jacob a word that would forever change his life. At sundown he goes to sleep. He dreams of a stairway that reaches from earth up to heaven. Angles of God are going up and down the stairway. God speaks and says, "Jacob I am giving you and your descendants this land. The ground you're lying on belongs to you. All of the families of the earth will be blessed through you and your descendants. I will protect you and one day I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have finished giving you everything I have promised."

What an amazing story, that after Jacob has grabbed in deceit his brother's incredible riches, God isn't scolding him but rather promises him a brand new future for his life. When will we get it, that God hasn't come to junk us or get rid of us, but rather change us unto his glorious image. God has a lot of work to do on Jacob, but promises him a bright future.

In spite of your blunders and mistakes in life, God hasn't come to scold you for your blunders and evil doings, but rather has come to give you life, that you might have it more abundantly. From this day, Jacob's life would never be the same again. Wake up friend, God has new beginning's for your life today. Look into the heavens and the word of God and see what He has in store for you.

Knock The Door Down?

Genesis 16:2 So Sarai said to Abram, “The Lord has prevented me from having children. Go and sleep with my servant. Perhaps I can have children through her.” And Abram agreed with Sarai’s proposal.

All of us have been flustered and frustrated when doors of blessings and promises don't open up. Most of us have pushed a door open without the help of God.

Sarah was barren from having children and tells Abram to take Hagar her servant and she will give you a child. Impatience will cause you more grief and pain that you can bargain for. Yes, Hagar had a son named Ishmael but it would cost them more heartache and grief than they could ever fathom.

Waiting on God and being patient on His blessings can be very difficult. Sarah and Abram jumped the gun on waiting for the promise before God was ready to deliver it. Revelation says, "I have set before thee and open door." When God opens the door, there is joy and peace and excitement. When you choose to knock the door down, there will come great pain, discouragement and disappointment.

Abram and Sarah were about to face much heartache and grief as a result of getting ahead of God. It would be another 14 years before God was ready to bring Isaac the promise son. Isaac's are worth waiting for. Will you wait for your Isaac or will you settle for Ishmael? Ishmael's will bring incredible pain and sorrow while Isaac's will bring great joy and rejoicing.

Is there a job that hasn't opened up yet, a relationship that hasn't developed, a child that hasn't come home, a promotion that your waiting on? Wait on the Lord and it will be worth the wait!! "Let us not be weary in well doing, in due season you shall reap if you faint not." (Galatians 6:9)

New Beginnings 2013

Genesis 32:28 "Your name shall no longer be Jacob, But Israel."

It's hard to believe 100 years ago life expectancy in America was 47 years. Only 14 percent of the homes had a bathtub. Only 8 percent of the homes had a telephone. 95 percent of all births took place at home. There was no Mothers day, no Father's day. Two out of every 10 adults couldn't read or write. Only 6 percent of all Americans had graduated from high school. A lot of things have changed in a hundred years. Aren't you glad for some of the changes over the past 100 years?

In Genesis 32, we read where Jacob was known as, "The grabber." His twin brother Esau was born first and right behind him was Jacob grabbing onto his heel. That wasn't the last time he grabbed something that wasn't his.

He would have been placed in the category of men like Bernie Madoff who swindled billions from investors. Jacob stole his own brother's inheritance and also the future blessings from his dad. Esau was so angry at his twin brother, he threatened to kill him. Quickly, Jacob grabbed his shoes and ran for his life.

Is there any hope for grabbers like Jacob? Can God change one who is bent on evil and deception? It's now been 20 years since Jacob had seen his brother. God is now leading Jacob to new beginnings. God led him to go back to his homeland.

There are those today that God is leading you back to your home and place in God. All your grabbing after the world and it's lust and pride has left you empty and void. In the night before his confrontation with Esau, Jacob cries out to God. He wrestles with God until the breaking of the day. He refused to turn lose and held onto God until he received a blessing from Him. That night He grabbed onto something that would change his life and future forever. That evening God touched his hip and he never walked the same again.

He realized all the grabbing for this world and it's glitter would only leave him empty. That night God gave him a new name. "Your name will no longer be Jacob, but you shall be called Israel. He meets Esau and there is no fight, no fuss, and no revenge from Esau. He falls into his brother's arms of mercy and great grace. This day he would grab his brother's love, forgiveness and mercy. God was giving both of them, "NEW BEGINNINGS." Can God do it again? Can we fall into the arms of an everlasting God that will show us His love and mercy? YES!! By the way, He can give you a new name and a fresh start today.
