Do You Have Radar For The Fog?

Walt Disney passed away before Space Mountain was built at Disney World. When they were dedicating the new place, the Governor, and the Mayor were present. The man who introduced Mrs. Disney said, “It’s a pity that Mr. Walt Disney is not here today to see this mountain, but we’re glad his wife is here.” She said, “I must correct the young man. Walt already saw this mountain. It is you who are just now seeing it.” (Mrs. Disney)
Do you struggle seeing what God has for your future? Have you asked the Lord to make it clear what you’re to do with your life? Without Vision, people live without confidence, peace, joy, courage and faith for their journey.

Helen Keller was asked, “Is there anything worse than being blind?” She paused for a moment and in her very unique way of talking said, “What’s worse than being blind is having sight without vision.”
Many people are walking like dead zombies without a vision. They are seemingly walking in the fog. Most planes couldn’t reach their destination without a radar system. Radar reveals dangers that are ahead and shows the pilot where the runway is, so he can land safely. Vision shows you where the runway is in order to reach your destiny. One morning, we were leaving the dock on a charted fishing boat. The fog was so thick; the trip would have been stalled for several hours without radar. But because we had radar, we left the dock and moved through the channel with no problem. What is your radar for navigating your vision? God has RADAR.

His Word Without The Word of God, you will find yourself manipulating the system, people and plans to get ahead. Jacob fell into this trap because there was NO Word to direct his path Gods way. Momma told him what to do and he became the grabber of Esau’s Blessings and Birthright through Manipulation.
Prayer For many years Jacob had no prayer life. I hate to think where I would be today if I didn’t pray intentionally for a Vision and Direction for the future. I take no credit for where I am today. It was in prayer that God gave me direction, purpose and Vision for what I am doing today. “God is no respecter of persons.”

His Spirit God desires to direct us in our choices without us having to be dishonest, cheat or grab something that isn’t ours. Jacob had to run for his life and from his brother Esau because he had stolen his Birthright and his Blessings through Manipulation rather than the Inspiration from God. Jacob would learn through the Hard Knocks that Inspiration from God is better than a plan of Manipulation. (Genesis 28 & 32)
Hard Work Jacob did receive God’s Blessings as He had promised. God never said we could just sit back on our laurels and wait for our Vision to happen. God has ways of PREPARING us for the Vision that He has created for our future. “When opportunity comes it’s too late to prepare.” .” Frederick W. Smith. A young man did a college paper in his economics class on what his vision was for overnight mail. The professor took a red pen and gave him a “C” and wrote, “Do not dream of things that cannot happen.” The young man left school and started Federal Express. I wonder where the professor is today. Your vision will require Hard Work and Inspiration that God will give you to complete what He has placed in your heart. Go for it friend! God is with you and for you.

WHO SAID, GIVING BIRTH TO YOUR VISION WAS SIMPLE?

Have fear, intimidation, doubt, frustrations, and questions gotten in the way of your vision? How many will decide to go through life without a vision. God says, “Without a vision people perish. (Proverbs 29:18) (NCV)18 Where there is no word from God, people are uncontrolled, but those who obey what they have been taught are happy.

Living life without a word from God is frustrating, complicating and exasperating. Some are literally out of breath because they have gone so long without pressing in to hear from God a vision for their life. I’m convinced that God put you here for a reason. Until you figure out THE WHY, you’ll live exhausted, frustrated, and worn out trying to find that missing piece to the puzzle of your life.

In Genesis 6, man was on a search doing every imaginable evil in God’s sight. God regretted that He had made man. He told Noah, I will destroy all mankind and start over again. Build an ark to preserve for the future. Vision is looking into the future. Noah was a man who was given instructions to build an Ark for the future, But how? What would he need to complete this undertaking?

Too many people FOCUS on what they Don’t have instead of what they Do have. In order to fulfill Gods vision for your life, you MUST focus on what you do have going for you.

NOAH REALIZED WHAT HE HAD GOING FOR HIM WAS:

The Favor of God Genesis 6:8 says that with all the upheaval of sin in the world, Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. When you know that God is for you, who can be against you?

An Assignment God handpicked Noah with all of his hiccups and hang-ups to build an Ark that would survive the coming flood. Have you asked the Lord what is your assignment in life?

Plans He told Noah to build a big boat some 450 feet long, 30 feet high and 50 feet wide out of gopher wood. This would be large enough to hold female and male animals of every kind.

Time   Most commentaries estimate it took Noah 100 years to build the ark. Man’s problem is we want God to fulfill our vision overnight. Remember, “To everything there is a season.” (Eccl :1) Don’t allow yourself to be frustrated with God’s Time clock.

Tenacity   That is a determination to stay the course until the vision is complete.

Delight   When you delight yourself in God, He will give you the desires of your heart. Ps 37: 4

Promise  What God says, He is able to bring it to pass. God is not human, that he should lie.

The Sweet Spot Series - "Serving with a Sense of 'I Must' or 'I Can't'"

Jesus said as a twelve year old boy, “I must be about My Father’s business.”(Luke 2:49) How many times have “I Can’t” stood in your way of serving the Master? Paul said, “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13) It’s when I give into my fleshly desires and lean on my natural strength that I miss the mark in Serving Him in with the assignment He has called me to.
Sarah, getting older and weaker said to Abraham, “Take Hagar and she will give you a son.” She had lost all hope that her barren womb could ever produce a son. Abraham decided to listen to his wife instead of the voice of God that made him the promise.
Caleb, after waiting for 40 years with a murmuring bunch of doubters said at the age of 85, “Give me my mountain.” Too many times it’s in our leaning to our own natural flesh that we miss the miraculous steps that God has ordained for our lives.
Twenty eight years ago, I came to a barren pitiful church on the Northside of Jacksonville, Florida. My natural mind and flesh wanted to say, “There is no hope for this little place called Oceanway A/G. They had a handful of members but God had other plans in mind. He reminded me, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.  (I Corinthians 12:9)
I said to the Lord, “Where do I begin?” He said; “Start praying that I will send to you workers for the harvest field”. I begin to watch God save backsliders and begin to fill the church with people who had a Mind To Work and a fire to reach out to our city. I and many others are here today with an “I Must” Mentality and not an “I Can’t” mindset. To this day I continue to PRAY that God will send us people who are ready to reach out and SERVE those who still are without the beauty of Christ living in their lives.
Jesus also said, “I must go through Samaria.” Now the Jews hated the Samarians, but Jesus was pressed by His Father to stop at a well where He would find a woman who had been married five times and the man she was living with wasn’t her husband. Before she knew it, she was not only drawing water for the Master but would find New and Living waters where she would never thirst again. She left that well saying, “Come see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could He be the Messiah”? People came streaming from the village to see Him. Rise up today and say, “I can, and I will never allow anything to distract me from Serving My Lord and Savior”.
