Does God have a Billboard in the Heavens?

God always communicates his Glory, Love and Grace in the Heavens. “The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.” (Psalms 19:1) USA Today recently published an article from a NASA report. One of the Four Blood Moons is coming up in a few days starting with April 15^{th 2014} at 3:07 AM ET and will only last about 30 minutes according to analyst. This phenomenon is in NO WAY meant to set a date for the return of Christ but becomes very interesting the more we study about it.

For many years there have been Blood Moons, but only three have happened in the last 500 years that tie in with the Jewish Festivals. Is something up in the heavens? Does God communicate to us through the Sun, Moon and the Stars?  “And I will cause wonders in the heavens and on the earth—blood and fire and columns of smoke.³¹ The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and terrible^[a] day of the Lord arrives.” (Joel 2:30-31) Then again Peter repeats the same words on the Feast of Pentecost. Then Jesus Himself in Luke 21: ²⁵ “And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides.” God is saying, “Are you watching?” “Are you looking for MY return?”

It’s so easy to be distracted with so much that life throws at you. It’s easy to get stressed with increasing gas prices and what you pay for groceries. Stress may continue with the uncertainty of your job, marriage, the safety of your kids at school and terrorism around the world.  But Jesus is about to send a reminder that He is Coming Again. Jesus said, “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in Me. ² There is more than enough room in My Father’s home.^[a] If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you” (John 14:1, 2)

                       

Does God use Signs and Signals in the Heavens to show His Glory and His Return to the earth?

Joshua, the leader of Israel was under attack by the Amorites. ^{NLT 12 “}On the day the Lord gave the Israelites victory over the Amorites, Joshua prayed to the Lord in front of all the people of Israel. He said, “Let the sun stand still over Gibeon, and the moon over the valley of Aijalon.”¹³ So the sun stood still and the moon stayed in place until the nation of Israel had defeated its enemies.

                        

Hezekiah had just been told by the prophet Isaiah, “Set your house in order, you are going to die.” Hezekiah immediately turned his face to the wall and pleaded with God. “Lord you know I have been faithful to you all these years.” Before Isaiah could get out of the court, God said, “Tell him I have heard his cry and I will add 15 years to his life.” Hezekiah responds, “How will I know that God will do this?” Isaiah said, “The sundial can either go forward or back; which would you like?” The King said, “Cause the Sun to go back 10 degrees.”

The Wise Men from the East went searching for the Messiah, The Christ who would be born in Bethlehem. When they went to Herod, they said, "Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.” Again, God used the Heavens to declare His glory and a sign of His Coming. God still uses His Billboard in the Heavens to declare His Glory. Be watching what will happen in the next Four Blood Moons. “In the last three tetrads, significant things took place with Israel.”
