Who Wins In Divorce? (3)

Exodus 15:22-27
It's easy to throw in the towel and quit when everything in life has gone sour. Moses not only found God's way to make the bitter water's sweet but kept pressing from their own discouragement to delight.

Just 7 miles south of Marah was Elim. Too many people get stuck at Marah. They are still bitter at their spouse, their boss, their kid, their brother or sister. Life will allow all of us to deal and experience with a whirlwind of bitter issues.

When Israel got to Elim, they found 70 palm trees and 12 wells of water. "WOW" The one who will keep pressing through the bitter pills of life will find Elim. What's coming up on your agenda? Unless you let go of the past you will never see God's bright blessings that are in front of you.

Why would you want to get hung up at your Marah? What if Israel had have died in their miserable whining bellyaching season. I know several that have never gotten past their divorce; they've never gotten past their boss that fired them. They can't get past their betrayer that did them wrong. "Forget those things which are behind and reach what is ahead."

Life is too short to live bitter. Get up; press on to your Elim. There's fruit you've never tasted before. God can make all things new. Even if the marriage didn't survive, you can. It's not the end of the world; life isn't over for you, press on to your Elim and taste the new fruit for your life.

There are wells that you have never drunk from before. When are you going to get off your soapbox and start singing a new song? Are you going to die singing your bitter I-tunes? There's a lot of smiles and singing when you drink from the wells of Elim. Press on, and it will come to pass.

It's time to sing again, it's time to smile again. On a personal note, nearly 5 years after my own Marah, God brought my spouse back home. It was difficult season, but I made up my mind either way I was going to press beyond my own bitter waters. I was pressing to on to my own Elim. Paul say's; "I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me."

Are you pressing to Elim? Come on God says, "Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof; and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit. (Eccl 7:8) There is a delightful Elim beyond your discouraging Marah.
